Child Safety & Welfare
At Yarrambat Phantoms Basketball Club, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for every child involved in our programs and activities.

Every participant has the right to enjoy basketball in a positive and safe environment where they feel respected, valued and empowered. We actively support and respect all children, families, coaches, volunteers and members of our community.

We believe that all children, regardless of age, culture, ability, gender, language, racial background, religious beliefs or sexual identity, should be able to participate in basketball safely, confidently and without fear.

Our club has zero tolerance for child abuse or inappropriate behaviour of any kind. Any concerns, suspicions or allegations relating to child safety or misconduct will be taken seriously and responded to promptly and appropriately.

Child Safety Form
This report form should only be completed for matters where a child is NOT in imminent danger. All urgent matters should be reported by calling Triple Zero (000).

This process helps players, parents and families understand where to go with concerns and to know that they are handled in a safe, timely and fair way to ensure we are focused on the wellbeing of all participants within the Phantoms (and outside) community.

Wellbeing matters will be handled with sensitivity and discretion, with the focus being on supporting those involved.

Whilst every effort is made to address these matters in a timely manner, we ask that families allow reasonable time for this process.
All concerns are taken seriously and handled confidentially.

Child safety matters should be acted on immediately. If the child is in danger, please contact police.

You do not need proof, only a reasonable concern to report
