For all new and returning members, welcome to Yarrambat Phantoms Basketball Club for the Autumn 2024 Season! For those who I haven't met, my name is AJ and I'm your Communications Coordinator for 2024.

We registered 350 players for the Autumn 2021 Season and in three short years, we've literally doubled in size. 700 budding basketballers are set to take the court this coming season, which means that effective communication between our members and the club is more important than ever. Please read the below email, as it contains detailed information that will assist you through the next 6 months.

Here's some key dates:
Our Courtside Chat online info night is Sunday 21st January at 7pm, you can register to join here:

Teams are scheduled to be released from Monday 22nd January, along with your training venues for the season.

We will be organising a Coaches/Team Managers meeting Sunday 28th January.
Training will commence from the week of Monday 29th January.
​
The first grading games will take place on Saturday 3rd February.

Please remember that by registering with Yarrambat Phantoms, you adhere to our Player & Spectator Code Of Conduct.
You also must adhere to Diamond Valley Basketball Association's bylaws & policies throughout the season.

Our App
We highly recommend you download 'Stack TeamApp' to your mobile. All major club & competition announcements (including any important news), will be sent directly to your phone so you don't miss out on anything. The app will also give you direct team & fixture access, the ability to pay any outstanding club fees and view all club documentation.
You will need this app to ensure you're up to date with all messages from the club through the season.

If you would prefer that your player does not appear on our social media accounts through the season, please ensure you make your team manager aware. With 700 players this season, I'm unable to filter what gets sent to me every week so I need teams and parents to be vigilant in assisting with this. Mistakes can happen, so please make sure you contact me if there are any issues.

Training
Our coordinators and Venue Coordinator will get together soon to discuss training times, locations and days for each team and you'll then be notified by your age level coordinator when teams are released. Please be aware that as much as I would love to take requests from families on training times, it's an impossible task to achieve. We have to organise 90+ teams into a series of limited venues that allow our younger players to train in earlier time slots, our Under 8's to train on lower rings (that are only available in certain locations) and ensure that all coaches can actually make their regular session during the week.
If you do find that your training time in the week is going to be difficult to achieve, please contact your age level coordinator directly to discuss options. I will be contacting all coaches & team managers in the coming weeks with more details around this.

Uniforms
Please ensure that if you're joining our club, you obtain your uniform as soon as possible! There are several ways you can do this:
Head to our Club Store and purchase it from our supplier. Please note this can incur a 10-15 business day wait for non-custom number requests and 6-8 weeks wait for anyone wanting a specific custom number.
OR
Visit our supplier Fiddes at 15/24 Brand Dr, Thomastown, Mon - Fri 9am - 4pm to purchase a uniform on the spot and avoid the delivery wait time (if stock is available).

Registration Fees
For anyone who has paid the $100 deposit at time of registration, please remember that the remainder of fees will be due at the conclusion of Grading for the Autumn 2024 Season. As stated on your registration form, the remainder of your deposit must be paid in full by Friday March 1st. If the outstanding balance is not met by this date, your player(s) will not be allowed to participate in games starting on March 2nd and moving forward.
